What is the Top Cover?
The Top Cover (also referred to as the small lid) opens and closes automatically when triggered by the Open button or the foot sensor.
How does damage occur?
The Top Cover is attached via a plastic component called the Top Cover Hinge. Damage typically occurs in one of the following ways:
- Forced backward force: While the Top Cover is open, forcefully pushing it backward by hand can break it — and in some cases, the Top Cover Hinge breaks along with it.
- Impact from a heavy/hard object: Dropping or striking a heavy, hard object onto the Top Cover while it is open can also cause it to break.
