⚫Cleaning When Microbes Reach MAX LineUpdated an hour ago

MIN and MAX mark the safe operating range for microbe volume inside the chamber, based on the LED indicator light on the inner wall.

  • MAX line: Located just above the LED indicator light. This is the upper limit — above this, mixing becomes less effective, risk of odor/mold increases, and running the unit overfilled can put excess strain on the paddle and mixing motor, potentially leading to mechanical damage. Time to harvest.
  • MIN line: Located just below the LED indicator light. This is the minimum volume needed for effective decomposition. Below this, microbes may not have enough mass to properly break down food, which can lead to poor decomposition and odors.

◽ If the microbe level is just below the MIN line, but the stirring rod shaft is not yet visible:

Feed small, easy-to-decompose amounts (e.g., bread) up to ~300g, and gradually increase as the level recovers.

◽If the stirring rod shaft is clearly visible:

We recommend purchasing additional Compost Starter — simply add it on top of the existing microbes (no need to remove what's left).

⚠️ Never scoop out all the microbes when harvesting — always maintain a base amount in the unit.

⚠️ Avoid consistently running the unit above the MAX line — overfilling can overload the paddle and mixing motor, increasing the risk of mechanical failure over time.
