We recommend using the entire pack at once after opening.
Using the full pack helps establish an adequate microbe colony in your Reencle and supports proper food waste decomposition.
Once the pack is opened, the remaining microbes are exposed to the air, which may allow moisture or contaminants to enter. Storing or using only part of the pack may also affect decomposition performance and could lead to:
Food waste not decomposing properly
Unpleasant odors
Reduced decomposition performance
If you have already opened the pack
If you have opened the pack but have not yet added the remaining microbes to your Reencle, you can store them for later use:
Place the remaining microbes in a clean, airtight zipper bag.
Seal the bag tightly to minimize exposure to air and moisture.
Store it in a cool, dry place.
Use the remaining microbes as soon as possible.
⚠️ Important: This storage method applies only to Compost Starter that has been opened but has not yet been added to the Reencle chamber. Once the microbes have been added to the chamber, they should remain in the unit and should not be removed for storage. |
