⚫Why Is the Inside of the Unit Warm?♨️Updated 7 minutes ago
Reencle maintains a warm internal temperature — this is optimal for microbial activity, not a defect.
The Bacillus-based microbes perform best in a warm, stable range. It's normal for the base of the unit to feel warm too. If the unit is powered off or unplugged for an extended time, internal temperature drops and microbes enter a dormant state, which can cause odors when feeding resumes.
Infrequent or very small food inputs may also cause microbes to dry out gradually — this doesn't automatically indicate a defect. However, if microbes become too dry, fine dust particles can form. This dust may stick to the mesh filter, so we recommend cleaning it more frequently in this case. If left unaddressed, dust can also pass through in small amounts and accumulate in the carbon filter over time, which may shorten its lifespan and require more frequent replacement.
