🧪 Test Sample Details
We conducted tests with three different Reencle compost samples.
- Each consisting of one quart, collected from three different locations by actual Reencle users.
- These samples were gathered when the Reencle bin reached its maximum fill line.
- The samples were cured outside the bin for approximately 3 to 4 weeks without being mixed with soil.
- Subsequently, these three samples were blended together and analyzed by the Agricultural Analytical Services Laboratory at Penn State University (AASL) on August 18th, 2023.
📊 Test Results
Stability
Based on the respirometry results, the Reencle compost sample achieved a score of 2.2 on the stability scale, where:
| Score | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 1 | Very Stable |
| 11 | Raw Feedstock |
This places the Reencle compost sample just shy of the "Stable" rating, according to the TMECC (US Composting Council).
Organic Matter & Nutrient Balance
Our compost sample demonstrated:
- High organic matter content
- An appropriate N (nitrogen) value
- A favorable C:N (carbon-to-nitrogen) ratio
All falling within the desirable range for quality compost.
Soluble Salt Levels
In terms of soluble salt levels, we obtained very promising results.
⚠️ Note: These tests were conducted solely with compost material. As per our recommendation, when you blend one part Reencle compost with four parts soil to create ReeMix, it significantly dilutes the salt levels — comfortably staying below the guideline of 2 EC (electrical conductivity), which is commonly used in horticulture and agriculture to indicate safe salt levels in soil, compost, or soil mixtures. |
🌱 Cook, Cure and Compost!
The Reencle Composter is not a magical tool that instantly produces perfect compost.
Instead, it represents a deeper understanding of the beauty of natural processes — much like the careful preparation and resting of a delicious steak to preserve its juices.
- Allow Reencle to gracefully facilitate the composting process ("Cook")
- Giving nature the time it needs to work its wonders ("Cure")
- With time and the help of beneficial microbes, your compost transforms from waste to a true wonder ("Compost")
Embrace the journey of transformation with Reencle.
From Waste to Wonder.
