Reencle is NOT a Dehydrator NOR a Grinder❌ 

Reencle operates on a completely different and unique mechanism using microbial technology (ReencleMicrobe™), which sets it apart from dehydrator/grinder-type composters. Most other electric composters on the market function similarly to a dehydrator — using high heat and grinding to reduce the volume of food waste.

⚠️ Disadvantages of Dehydrator/Grinder Types

• The biggest disadvantage of dehydrator/grinder types is that the salinity (sodium residue) of their byproduct remains very high, since the food waste is simply dried — not decomposed. As a result, the byproduct cannot be used as proper compost.
• Users typically cannot continuously add food waste during operation — food must be added in batches, and each cycle must complete before more can be added.
• The inner tank must be removed and cleaned after every operating cycle.

🦠 How Reencle Works

Reencle uses a microorganism called Bacillus Smithii, extracted from cheese and soybeans. Bacillus Smithii is halophilic, acidophilic, and thermophilic — meaning it thrives in salty, acidic, and warm environments. This happens to match the exact conditions of most food waste, an environment where most other microbes cannot survive.

Our decomposition mechanism is similar to what is known as a Bokashi process, but significantly faster than conventional/natural decomposition. Reencle provides an optimal environment for microbes to break down food waste — most food waste is fully decomposed within 24 hours.

Reencle users can continuously add food waste at any time (be mindful of daily processing limits):

• Minimal cleaning required: 

Unlike dehydrator/grinder types, Reencle does not require washing or removing the inner tank after every use. However, for best results, we recommend keeping the lid interior, inner walls, and mesh filter clean — simply wipe with a dry cloth or paper towel after food input to prevent mold buildup. The outer bucket surface can be cleaned with a mop or wipes if it looks dirty.

• True compost, not just dried waste: 

Because decomposition happens biologically — not just by heat and grinding — Reencle's byproduct is genuine, nutrient-rich compost, not simply dehydrated food waste. There are two ways to use it, depending on your purpose:

1. Mulching — Can be used immediately, no curing required. Spread a thin layer around the plant (avoid direct contact with the stem/trunk), then layer with a bit of existing garden soil and a top layer of mulch (e.g., wood chips) to protect the compost and retain moisture.
