Many customers assume Reencle works like a “batch cycle” — add food, wait 30 days, then harvest. However, Reencle works continuously.

Because Reencle creates real compost rather than simply drying food waste, the microbes inside the unit continuously break down food as you add it. You can keep feeding the unit regularly while the compost level gradually rises from the MIN line toward the MAX line.

1️⃣ Reencle Works Continuously

Reencle does not require you to add food and then wait for a separate 30-day composting cycle.

Instead, the microbial system continuously breaks down food waste while the unit operates. Many common food scraps can break down within approximately 24 hours, although the actual time varies depending on the type and condition of the food and the microbial environment.

You can continue feeding your Reencle regularly as long as the compost level and microbial condition remain within the recommended range.

2️⃣Why Does It Take 2–4 Weeks for the Bin to Fill?

Food breakdown and bin filling are two different processes.

Although microbes can break down food relatively quickly, the food does not simply disappear. Most of it is broken down through microbial activity, while a smaller portion remains as compost material.

As you continue adding food each day, this remaining material gradually accumulates, causing the level inside the unit to rise from the MIN line toward the MAX line.

With regular feeding of around 1 kg per day, it typically takes approximately 2–4 weeks for the level to rise from MIN toward MAX.

With heavier or more frequent feeding within the recommended daily capacity, the level may rise more quickly — sometimes within 1–2 weeks.

⚠️ If you see “30 days” referenced in relation to Reencle, it does not mean that food must remain untouched inside the unit for 30 days. Reencle is a continuous composting system, so food can be added regularly while decomposition continues.

3️⃣ You Don't Always Have to Wait for the MAX Line

You do not necessarily need to wait until the compost reaches the MAX line before removing some material.

If enough fully broken-down material has accumulated, you can scoop out a portion as needed while leaving the rest of the microbial compost inside the unit.

This allows the microbial system to continue operating without requiring you to empty the entire bin.

4️⃣Keep the Compost Within the Recommended Level

5️⃣ Harvesting Your Compost

When enough compost has accumulated, use the provided shovel to scoop out only the amount you need. There is no need to empty the entire unit.

If you notice recognizable food pieces or material that has not fully broken down, leave or return them to the unit so the microbes can continue decomposing them.
