🔵Carbon Filter — Reencle PrimeUpdated 3 hours ago
◻What It Is
Reencle's carbon filter is part of a breakthrough 3-layer filter system that ensures odor-free composting — enjoy fast, convenient organic composting without odor. The filter is pre-attached to the rear of the unit; remove the yellow protective sticker before first use. The outer casing is made of recyclable plastic, filled inside with activated carbon.
◻Purpose
Filters and purifies odors before air is released from the lower rear vent of the unit.
◻Replacement Cycle
Every 9–12 months. Actual lifespan may vary depending on the cleanliness of the inner wall behind the mesh filter cover and the condition of the microbe.
◻How to Tell When It's Time
Reencle does not send an alert when the carbon filter needs replacement. Reencle is well-sealed under normal use, so a sour or stale smell near the lower rear vent is the most reliable sign that the filter is nearing end of lif
◻Filter Lifespan Depends On
- Internal cleanliness of the unit
- Proper microbe moisture management
- Mesh filter condition (a clogged mesh accelerates carbon filter deterioration)
◻Two Replacement Options
- Replace the full filter unit
- Refill with Carbon Refill — more affordable and eco-friendly
◻Disposal
- Remove the silver sticker on top or unscrew the rear screws to open the casing.
- Empty the activated carbon outdoors or into a large bag — granules spill easily.
- Activated carbon → general waste. Filter casing → recyclable.
